  • 1.  Carbonite Black Media Manager missing Playlist Funciton

    Hello all, i've noticed after updating to Carbonite Black Plus version 15.0.4 and Dashbaord version 9.1.4 that the playlist functionality on each media store channel that has existed is no longer there.

    However, when you access the media manager via a web browser and the frame IP address the legacy Media Manager appears with the playlist functionality. 

    Just wondering if there is something i'm missing on the Dashboard side to get those controls back. Thanks!

    The Now "native" DashBoard Media Manager is enabling us to provide the same custom panel and UI integration like we have with all of the other menus and controls.  We did not get the Playlist management implemented.

    Yes you can open via a web browser the legacy version to drive it.  All of the Playlist functionality is actually built into the Web interface and it had no control ability from the panel or custom controls.  I am kind of happy to see that someone actually did use it at some point :)

    Thanks for the clarification Les. "We did not get the Playlist management implemented." - Does that mean theres an opportunity for this to be a feature request for future updates? IF not, we may just lean on using eXpression Live CG as more of a standard playlist tool. Just a little more training to do for our flight packs.

    I would use the Live CG function as it would enable using RossTalk from the Switcher to control the playlist with transport controls.

    Plus if you are up to maintenance with it in version 10 there is the DashBoard Plugin and you would be able to include it in the custom views so that it is part of live assist!
