  • 1.  Auto Squeeze for Multiple Lines?

    Posted 05-24-2016 16:40
I have a quad in a scoreboard presentation that is a background for a player note. I would like the text size to adjust automatically depending on how long the note is. For example a short note would have a larger font filling the quad area and for a longer note the font size would decrease and fill the quad. Kind of like auto squeeze but for multiple lines (so only when the bounding box reaches the edges of the quad BG)

Can anyone help me achieve this? I have been messing around in visual logic but have had no luck.

I don't understand why auto squeeze is not the right for you ?

Multiple line ? But one note ?

Yes it has to stay containded on the quad/box that flips over in 3D to show other stats. (see attached.) I was just wondering if there was a way to adjust the font size automatically depending on how much information was entered by the font operator. Right now if I use auto squeeze it only adjusts one line. Thanks.

You can achieve this but using 2 or 3 font and then select them with font tag like {2} or {fontname}.
If this is not your best solution, you can make a script to reduce font size while your textobject is too big.

I will try the font tags. Thanks for your help.

Have you found a solution to your issue? I want to accomplish the same on a slap/tombstone graphic. I am currently using font tags, but I was wondering if Visual Logic can help us achieve this more easily.
