  • 1.  Tessera Region Mapping

I have a Tessera with 3 1920x1080 physical outputs feeding a monitor wall of 5760x1080. I have a Source Region layout of 5760x1080 with 3 1920x1080 Regions in it: Left, Center, and Right.

I have 3 1920x1080 Destination Regions: Left Center, and Right.

I have mapped the 3 Source Regions (L,C,R) to the corresponding Destination Regions (L,C,R).

I have created a Scene @ 5760x1080 and in the Tessera tab I have selected my Monitor Wall Source Region. Images and video play out fine.

    My problem:

I want to put an OTS of 700x700 pixels in the wall. Is the only way to do this by putting my OTS where I want it in the middle of a blank 5760x1080 Scene and setting the Tessera out to my Monitor Wall Region?

I was under the impression I could create a Scene the size of the OTS (700x700) and somehow with Region Mapping be able to move it around where I want it, but I can't figure out how.

    Thanks!

Create a source region that has virtual dimensions of 700x700, in one of your destinations create a region that is also 700x700.  On the source tab, map the source region to the destination region you created.  You can then move the 700x700 destination region around on the destination canvas.  You can then create a scene that is 700x700 and assign it in the sequencer to the tessera source

If you want the destination region to span across two physical outputs, you need to calculate how much you want on each of the outputs and create two half regions in the 700x700 source, and create two halfs on each destination, and map accordingly.
