  • 1.  Custom Control (Macro) Timing Adjustment

    Hello all,

    I am trying to change the timing of a macro I built, but I cant figure out how to do so. Any help with extending a DVE Param shift time would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Zachary,

    May I clarify that you would like to set the DVE X-position at 0%, wait a predefined amount of time while ME2 transitions, and then set the DVE X-position at 36.2%?

    To achieve this, insert a PAUSE event after the ME2 transition event.

    Custom Control > Pause > Set desired duration for the pause

    Thanks for the reply, Aaron. I would love to see the transition happen live (The key shifting from left to right smoothly over 2 seconds).

    Would you happen to know if that is possible?

    Hi Zachary,

    I think I understand now - you would like to animate the transition. Yes, this is possible!

    So the animation will be achieved using Memories. Then the memories can be inserted into a Custom Control if you would like the animation to be a part of a larger sequence of events.

    1. You will need to create 2 different memories: one with DVE param at 0%, one with DVE param at 36.2%
    2. Set Recall mode to Effects Dissolve; and Effects Dissolve duration to 2 seconds
    3. Since our focus here is the DVE key, turn on key attributes for the relevant key
    4. Save the 2 memories.

    Now when you recall and toggle between the 2 memories, the switcher will interpolate the 2 different DVE parameters over 2 seconds.
