    Hi,

I got a Ultrix Acuity 3 ME and I'm new to it… pardon my obvious questions

-first question I'm looking to create a CC to perform a cross point into the Ultrix router when I press a button on the touch drive I want to simultaneously perform the cross point is that a way to do that I tried rosstalk but can't find how to do that

-I will do a UHD recording so I configured the Acuity in UHD 2160 25p. With this setup I can't get HD sources. It's ok in the Ultrix but when I switch on PGM it's like out of sync. Is that normal?

-in UHD and flexi mode the ME C and D are not accessible to be assigned to a row but it is accesible as sources however it stay black even if the preset/background is slescted in the ME config menuis it due to the UHD format ?

    thanks for your help !

1 - Can you maybe add more information and clarity to this item ?  What button on the panel do you want to press on the panel specifically?  Sending RossTalk to Ultrix is how you can send switches (but also to try to get it working more easily you could send GPI event which will trigger Salvos - then build simple single Salvos to test it).  Custom Controls can be attached to any button on the panel so you could also then just attach the button to the panel.  In the CC Menu on the second page is attachments.

2 - Are those HD source the same 25p frame rate? Are they 1080p25 in this case?  Are those sources the same Genlock and in Sync with the same reference?  The Acuity can only upconvert 1080p to 2160p at the same Frame rate and sources have to be in time.

3 - ME C and D are outputs of the ME .. they are not separate Control layers.  They either follow with PGM A or PGM B Controls.  There is two sides to the transition Mixer A and B  -- then there are 4 outputs..  A / B / C / D and those can chose which BKGD set to use PGM/PST or U1/U2.  When B is set to U1/U2 then the ME is using both sides.  C and D can then be set to follow A or B by setting their BKGDs to U1/U2 and then they follow the B Side.  You then pick which keyers are visible on those ME Outputs for C and D.

    Hi Les,

Sorry I was definitely not clear !

    • I mean I want to send a command to the ultrix through a CC for exemple to trigger a switch in the router assuming the output is not a "Acuity" output

the CC send a command that switch input 1 to output 34...

    • OK I got it ! actually the switcher is configured in 2160p 25 but we also have cams in 1080 50i (i'm in europe :) )so I understand now that is a framerate and probably a scan issue...

    • ok for the "split" M/E it wasn't so clear in my mind. With your explanations it  is way better !

    • Few other questions... : Acuity is in 2160 P25 we use Ultriscapes MVs. Concerning latency I noticed 4 frames  of delay on the PGM output It means I have to delay audio with 160 ms to get the AV sync right. To have an AV sync with the MV I have to delay audio with 220 ms... Is it normal? (160 ms it is quite huge...) is ther a way to reduce latency?
    • still about latency...Still in this 2160P25 setup... When I switch on PGM the crosspoint is instantly done if I monitor a physical output in which there is the ME3A routed. but in the MV I notice a latency when a press the button I can feel clearly that ther is a latency with the PIP on the MV (PIP is feed with ME3 PGM). I know that it is only MV but it matter...

    best regards

    Thank you so much

    Best regards,

    Boris
