I am looking to control our ETC lightboard through Caprica custom controls. Currently our lightboard isn't in a Dashboard port. Assuming our engineering team can set this up, where would I look in Caprica Events to then begin creating customs for lighting control? I'm assuming RossTalk -> TypeInCmd -> choose the lighting board as device (Then Ascii or Hex format options)? Am I on the right track? What type of commands can I create? I would mainly need to switch between show cues to begin, then as I get more comfortable create customs for quick light changes (red desk for breaking news).I should have prefaced that I know very little about lightboards so I am approaching this project as a beginner.

Hi TJ. I am by no means an expert but working on a similar implementation now. Did you get any guidance since you last posted here? You would indeed use ASCII and then send individual lines (aka strings) to recall specific macros or cues. There could be variations based on the ETC console you have but there is a manual section here for the EOS console series describing the transmission of strings via UDP:
