  • 1.  Question about XPression cameras function

    Posted 07-30-2024 20:53
    Hi XPN users,
I have a question regarding the 'Cameras' during the XPression function.

    1. What kind of work is the 'Cameras' function mainly used for?
    2. From what I understood, when I export a scene using 'Cameras', I understand that the screen is exported like a side, a high angle, or a low angle, not a front shot. Is the function of 'Cameras' correct that I understand?

Camera's are so you can move around there scene in 3D and choose a different angle to view from and take on air from.

You can also use them for renderviews.

Thank you so much for your response.
Is it a feature that can be viewed through rendering when using a 3D object?
So you're sending the scene to the camera's viewpoint, not the front?

You can change what camera is being viewed in the Viewport by selecting the Camera dropdown in the top left of the viewport, then select the camera you would like to view from.
Separately, you can change what camera is being used to render the scene to an output by setting the camera to "active" in the settings:
Finally, you can use a specific camera in a RenderView shader as part of a material
Cameras can be used in ANY scene, no matter whether you're using "3D objects" (technically everything in XPression is created in 3D space) or just simple quads!
