  • 1.  TD2 Touchdrive is doing a restart in Production by it self

Hello we are two production companies in the north of Germany and running the same system on our production trucks. There is a Ross carbonite ultra frame with a TD2 Touchdrive surface for video mixing on board.

From time to time our TD2 panel are making a restart once or two times a production day. What is the issue of this fault ?

We are thinking about an overload of the Dashboard Computer of the TD2 Panel. How can we fix this problem to get a smooth production ?

I have submitted for a ticket to be opened and hopefully someone from TS will be able to contact you directly or have to do it through here.  Issues like this I would suggest opening a ticket directly and/or calling in to the support line.

We will need to understand better what you mean by restarting -- do you see the full reboot including seeing the Bios on the menu panel?  Is it just DashBoard Restarting but the panel buttons menus still function?  Or are you seeing DashBoard still there but the panel Lights on the buttons do the progress loading of the panel were they change colours in sections?

If you could enable Logging to USB so that we can pickup any frame logs to help us report the messages to Support to help identify what is happening.

In DashBoard on the Configuration Menu there is a Diagnostic tab that will allow you to set the log direct to USB..  If the frame is not restarting then you don't have to do this but would be best then to do the export logs from Frame shortly after the panel restarts and then is back online.  That way all of the relevant info will be in the newest section of the log.  If you could also ensure the time is correct on the CONFIG - SYSTEM page.  There you can apply the correct time and date which will be part of the logs as well.

Then panel needs to have a USB Drive plugged into it to pull out the logs as it does not have the export button like the frames have.

With both of these it would be best if we could get the logs extracted shortly after the restart occurs -- just doing the export / Save to USB will be enough and then actually send those in after when you have the opportunity (both are hard to do in the middle of the production which I get... but having them shortly after with the correct time will help locate issues in the logs.)
