Whenever I place a timeofday clock in a MV display, it does not match the system time.  Is there a place to adjust/reset the time used for the timeofday clock?

    Hi Mark,

in your layout editor there is a tab at the top, dedicated to setting the different clocks.

You can also add a differnt clock in the same interface.

    Hi Mark,

I have the same problem... The default timeofday clock, runs 65 seconds ahead of the system clock.

I'm running an Ultrix Carbonite - the time of day clock on the switcher MV is correct, but the Ultriscape clock is wrong.

Does the default time of day clock in Ultriscape take it's time from the system clock on the Dashboard PC, or from network time received by Ultrix?

    Thoughts?

You can set the internal clock of the ultrix to synchronise to NTP. this should keep the clock stable.

you can also set the lock to PC time every once and a while.

Bingo!  Thanks Mike!  It was a piece of cake once I knew where to look.

    Hey Mike,

Thanks for your prompt response (and apologies for my tardy one!).
That's very helpful. My Ultrix clock is currently synced to the local PC, while I hunt for an NTP IP address that Ultix will connect to.

    Follow up question:
The rest of the clocks in the venue are synced to timecode from the SPG. The Ultrix and Carbonite receive their sync from the same source. Is it possible to sync the Ultrix clock to timecode?

To my knowledge you can't bring timecode into the ultrix for it's clock(s) to sync to. It can be embedded on an sdi audio channel or through madi but that can only be routed and the ultrix can't reference that as its time of day clock source. I believe the only solution would be to license the NTP option on your SPG and set it to reference the same NTP clock that the ultrix is referencing. This should synchronize your SPG timecode/clocks and the ultrix clock.

I can confirm that the Ultrix doesnt have a timecode input.

the only way to enter time is using NTP
