No definite answers here as it sounds like you were doing it right however I'll put you onto some thing to check when troubleshooting this.
When utilizing triggers ID's you need to be careful that you don't have more than one thing in your panel utilizing them. I have in the past wanted a panel to use keyboard mappings like you are looking for but I also had the "Internal RossTalk GPI Listener" port configured which was blocking my key binds from firing the GPIs that I set them to in the Preference menu as you mentioned.

I would also throw out to check the Global RossTalk GPI listener found in Preferences in case that may be causing your conflict.

Lastly I'd just suggest playing with your GPI command and make sure its firing to the correct context. I would start with "Anywhere".

Subject: Use Custom Keybind to Trigger Dashboard Button/Checkbox/Text Box/Radio Buttons
Hi,
I would like to use any keybind to be able to trigger buttons and other check boxes and items within dashboard panels. I have figured out where trigger IDs are for buttons, put trigger IDs in as keybinds in the Preferences menu under Window in the top left. However, whatever I do it just seems that they will not trigger with the keybinds. Is there some sort of step I am missing?
