Production Switchers

We have upgraded from a Carbonite+ to a Carbonite Ultra60 and i'm running to a problem setting up a special wipe transision.

On the Carbonite+ I had setup a wipe containing two parts. Key 1 was controlling the oncomming picture and key 4 was overlaying matching graphics.

Key 1 was a split of MME1 BGD as the fill and media player 1 as the alpha.

MME1 BGD was set to follow ME2 PST, so the oncomming picture would be wiped in as the media.

Key 1, key 4 and the two media players was triggered by a CC. It worked perfect.

After the update to Carbonite Ultra 60 I have tried to do the same setup, but I'm not allowed to set the MME1 to follow P/P, ME1 or ME2.

How would you solve this? 

Are you trying to setup up the ME Follows in the Configuration - System - ME Page?

This has never been able to link an ME with a MiniME.  These Follows Require ME or MiniME to be identical Types.

For what your trying to do you need to track the Bus as a Bus Follow.

So to make that happen you need to go to MiniME 1 via the Buses page (Live Assist - Buses) select - ME Bus - MiniME 1 - Background then from the Bus Selector above select ME Follows and pick the PST bus of the ME you would like to follow (you said ME 2 but I am not sure if you were a 2 ME or 3 ME switcher) here I picked the main ME PP (ME program preview) which is a change we made from older Carbonite to the New Ultra based versions.

Every switcher now has an ME PP for the main Program / Preview ME so that Custom Controls and Memories address the same ME when you move between switcher sizes.

This would most likely be how you did it before since you were trying to make the BKGD follow a PST bus -- even if a MME could follow an ME then it would have been the MME PST bus that would switch when the ME PST source was selected.
