I would assume backwards compatibility.
It's a shame this isn't an XML based system for scenes. Then you could make a custom XSLT between versions.

Running into an issue where the highlighted scene I want to push isnt showing up un the preview window. For context i am importing a project that was made on 9.5 onto a computer that runs on 8.5. it works fine on the original computer but since ive imported the project it hasnt shown up properly. Other projects on this system dont have this issue so im thinking since the project is newer that its running into some problems
