Thank you. I didn't have the correct port originally. Now that I have it, karma tells me I'll never need to use it!

Hi Danny,
This will depend on which Carbonite frame you have, and the version of the firmware running on it. The Virtual Panel used to share the same port as the other Carbonite menus in DashBoard, but was separated to its own port (5257) in later firmwares.
Assuming you have a Carbonite with newer firmware, you will need the IP address of the Carbonite frame.
- Click the '+' icon to add a new device.
- Select TCP/IP DashBoard Connect or openGear Device.
- Enter the IP address of the Carbonite frame, give it any name you desire, type in port 5257.
The Virtual Panel will appear in your DashBoard tree. Give it a few moments to load.

Subject: Carbonite Virtual Panel
Hi,
Could I get an instruction on how to add a Carbonite Virtual Panel to Dashboard? I'm setting a laptop as an emergency backup. I have access to the frame node.
Thank you.
