Hi, trying to work out how to create a salvo or one/ two button switch during a show , to be able to switch three sources and matching multiviewer images then back again. Without affecting other sources during a show remotely for the TD

is it better to create a

    1) salvo ( which I have been told)

    2)) macro

    3) custom control

    Which Switcher is this?

Note that we use the word Macro / Custom Control interchangeably.  Usually the Salvo term is used with Routers. However effectively it is the same thing.  A Macro event that you program a set of events to trigger all at the same time.

    Hi Les,

Thanks for answering, I have now got it going via the ultrix, found the salvo tab then had a little time to play and assign to the router buttons and got it to work.

So off to a good start and big learning curve as never pushed to do this for any job.

I guess the custom controls can't remap mixer source buttons and the multi viewer to match inputs.

    It's a 3me black switcher.

I'm sure I'll be asked at some-point for something even stranger.

    Cheers
    Kevin

Outputs from the Ultrix feeding the switcher can have IDs assigned to them in the TSL tally Data and then in the switcher you have the TSL input names only setup.  Then they will track the names of the sources.  Using the Routed output mode the Ultrix can also then track back to it's own TSL Input IDs for the ultriscape tally to follow the Tally data.

Thanks guys for all your help and advice, I’ll have a couple of days to go through things before the first show.
Just been tense coming in as a replacement engineer and learning the entire rig, that was reconfigured and had problems with cameras and servers, but getting there, so not much time with the smaller requests with the switcher, but in a good position to fine tweak.
Many thanks for the prompt response
