  • Robotics Firmware Version 7.4b

    WHAT’S NEW

    • EXPANDED SUPPORT FOR FRU / MOTOR COMBINATIONS

    • Added support for additional combinations of motors and FRUs to simplify

    field upgrades.

    • X300 / X350 OS

    • The OS for the X300 and X350 can now be upgraded in the field. The version

number is displayed in the Web UI. The X350 can be upgraded via the Web

UI, using the same process already supported for Artimo and X650. The X300

requires upgrading via a standalone installer. Contact Ross Technical Support

    for assistance.

    • X650 BEHAVIOUR ON E-STOP RELEASE

    • In 7.4a, the X650 would power cycle on E-STOP release. It will now recover

and continue to operate without requiring a power cycle.

    • ARTIMO LOCALIZATION MAP

    • The localization map shown in the Web UI now distinguishes between the

front and back lidar to assist with detection of problems with lidar calibration.

    • MOVE CUE TOLERANCE FOR XY PEDS

    • A new threshold, MoveCueTolerance, has been added to determine when

Move Cues will fail. This has been separated from the existing

LinearTolerance, which determines when the orange border is shown

around a move or preset in SmartShell to indicate that one or more axes are

not quite on target. MoveCueTolerance is set to a default of 50 mm to reduce

the impact of cues not reaching target. Set to 20 mm in the config.tmpl to

    restore 7.2f behaviour.

    • XY POSITION TRACKING

    • The FreeD tracking data for XY peds and Furio dollies using the GenDolly or

GenDolly2 algorithm will now include the base rotation encoded into the 16-

bit user-defined field. This is used by SmartShell Visualizer v8.1a and higher

    to show base orientation.

    • PAN RELATIVE STEERING AS DEFAULT

    • Pan relative steering is the new default option on power-up for all XY peds.

Use SmartShell user settings to override the default.

    • ARTIMO WHEEL MOTOR STABILIZATION OPTIONS

    • Artimo now offers the option to select between three motor

stabilization settings in the Web UI. These options can be found

in the Axis Settings page under XY.
