Camera Motion Systems

We have been frustrated with the "focus" button on the Cambotics GUI. The problem is that the button is located directly next to "replace shot" and our operators go to hit "replace shot" but accidentally hit "focus" and then the camera zooms all the way in on-air.

We have no reason to use the focus button because it zooms into the center point and more than half of our shots are not focused on the center point.

Any ideas, future GUI updates?

Hi Jason, my name is Marcel Fontaine, I am on the Robotics Team at Ross Video. The UI you are using (Master Panel) has been upgraded to a newer version called SmartShell.

The SmartShell is both a Hardware and Software upgrade. Where are you located? I could have one of our Regional Sales Managers reach out to you.

In the interim, I will ask our Tech Support Team if there is any way to edit the configuration of the UI to disable the Focus Button for you

Hello again Jason, I spoke to our R&D Team back in Ottawa and seems it is possible to disable (hide) the focus button in MasterPanel. It's a simple Fix. The change will need to be done in the eng config menu, and you will require a password So, I'd recommend you call our free Tech Support line at 613-652-4886 to have them walk you through the process! Once the change is made, you will need to re-start the MasterPanel PC
