  • 1.  PIVOTcam "GPI Trigger"

    In the camera config menu of the stock PIVOTcam control panel, there's a checkbox for GPI Trigger. However, I've been able to find no documentation for how this is intended to function. Is it an input? An output? What would be the commands to activate the trigger, and what would it accomplish?

    My hope is that this GPI trigger could be used to control which camera is active in the control panel with an external hardware device. This seems like the most natural interpretation of the feature, but I'd love to find some more details.

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks for reaching out. You have come across a bit of a hidden feature there, one that I wasn't even aware was there. So this flag does indeed turn on a listener, which should allow you to select a camera, as you indicated. Just trying to pull together some instructions for you, so that you can try it out. I can tell you that it uses the global RossTalk Smart GPI Listener, which you can configure in Dashboard's preferences, so if you're familiar with that, you can start there. Anyways, I just wanted to get back to you to leet you know that this should do what you were hoping it would, I just need to get you the details. So stay tuned!
