I would like to see if it is possible to get keyer status (on or off) of a MC-1 through network. In fact, I am able to send a Rosstalk command to trigger a keyer but I do not know the status of the keyer. Any Callback command be used?

At the moment there are no Rosstalk commands for querying keyer status, however It is possible to get tally information via the Presmaster protocol.

Is the Presmaster Protocol similar to the Grass Valley Native Protocol? My Tight Rope Media Systems automation has a GrassvalleyNP Comand Module but it does not have a Presmaster CM. I am trying to determine how to control my MC1 with the Cablecast automation. My automation can control my NK Router with a Ross NK-SCP/A interface using the CodanNK Command Module, but this information does not tally on the MC1. I would like to control the MC1 with the Cablecast automation and then have the MC1 control the NK Router. That way all would be in sync. As it is now, both my MC1 and the automation control the NK router and they do not interfere with each but they do not reflect each others state. Suggestions?

    Hi,

Presmaster is a Master Control Mixer / Keyer Control Protocol and GVG Native Protocol is a Router Matrix Control Protocol. When an MC1 is connected to a NK Router, it acts as the Crosspoint controller, and automation should be using the Presmaster Driver in MC1 to control the system, and not directly controlling the NK crosspoint. If you directly switch the NK Router from automation, then MC1 will not track the status correctly.
