    Hi's

We've got one of our OG3-FR's in the same control room space as our operators & technicians and it's front panel fans are a lot louder than I'd hoped, I have to power off the frame when it's not required, to avoid complaints from my operators.

The Dashboard controls are only for auto or high (for memory) or 'Loud and Louder' :). I've monitored the temp stats when the front panel is open (so the fans are off) and with only a few OG cards in it, it only gets few degrees C above the normal temp when it's closed. Don't have stats on me, but I'll send them on when I'm next in the studio.

Any chance a firmware update could control the fans with slower/quieter and still keep the temps within spec ?

    - frame houses 4 cards- Analog DA, DeMux, Component ADC and Audio ADC

    - ambient rack temp is around 21 degrees.

    - our other 3 frames are in a rack where audible noise is not an issue.

Of course don't want to shorten the life of the psu's or cards, so will put up with it or relocate the frame if needed.

    Thanks,

    Simon
