Question:I have 2 UDC-8625A cards and I have HD SDI inputs that I just need to gen lock to the system, no conversion.

How many individual inputs can I use with discrete outputs for each one?

Is this possible or should I just get a frame sync card?

Hi Dave,

The UDC-8625A has 4 HD-SDI inputs, but only will process one at a time. The additional inputs provide provision for switching, mixing and keying. So, you will need one UDC for each HD-SDI source in this case.

For simple synchronization without conversion, our SFS-8622-A is a lower-cost frame synchronizer card for the openGear frame. Again, it is one channel per card.
