Hi all,

Im trying to set up a MC1, but using Dashboard at this point, I can find the GUI "On Air Control"

Is it necesary to install any pluging or another SW to operate the MC1 via Dashboard?

    Thanks in advance,

To access the MC1-MK On Air Control interface

    1. From the Tree View, expand the node for the MC1-MK you wish to access.

    2. Select the On Air Control node to display the interface in the right-half of DashBoard.

    Hello Adrian,

To access the "on air control" GUI, you must have an Ethernet connection directly into to the MC1backplane.

This can go to a router, switch etc.

    Hi Adrian,

In order for the "On Air Control" to show up, it is necessary for the MC1 to have its own ethernet connection, as well as a valid IP address. Please check the setting on the MC1 Config -> Ethernet tab. Note this is in addition to the ethernet connection going to the frame.

    Hello again Peter and Ralph,

For the MC-1, I have another 2 questions unresolved reading manuals,

Can we manage an external matrix (non ross video) with the MC-1 interface? I asume yes, customizing via DashBoard. And, how works Voiceover phisicaly, only with the SDI embebed audios, or can we use external AES audio inputs??

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Adrian,

The MC1 currently only supports Ross NK router matrix. If you have a way to convert protocols, it might be possible to control another one. DashBoard could be used, though I would not recommend it, because latency cannot be guaranteed. If you have a specific router you'd like supported, please let our marketing folks know.

Voiceover is supported on SDI embedded audio, if you want external AES, we normally bundle use a MUX-8252 to embed the audio before it enters the MC-1, this works transparently. If a single-card solution is important for you, once again please let our marketing folks know, as they can make it happen (if there is sufficient interest).

    Cheers,

    Ralph
