    Hi there,

Is it possible to connect 2 NK video routers to the same NK-ips unit?

Our goal is to install a second 64x64 NK router at a remote site, that is connected to our server room via dark fiber.

My thought was to extend the t-bus connection (rs-485) using a yellowbrik fiber converter to the remote router.

If this scenario is not possible, would a second NK-ips be needed to control the second router? And could both NK-IPS's be connected to dashboard at the same time?

    Thanks!!

T-bus allows multiple routers on a single link, so yes you can add a second router to a single IPS. Unfortunately t-bus is not fully electrically compatible with RS-485, so you would need to directly connect the 2 routers and IPS via CAT5 cable. You could run the second router on an NK-NET device, and control it remotely via TCP/IP. Dashboard would have 2 Nodes in the tree in this case, one for each Router, but both would be fully controllable at the same time.

Interesting... the NK-NET sounds like a nice solution. It does however look like the NK-NET only supports one instance of dashboard. Does this mean only one Dashboard client in our main facility can control it?
