  • 1.  Multiple Outputs for a single Destination or tieing destinations together.

Is there a way to add multiple output points to a single destination or somehow tie destinations together so they always match? Destination 2 on my Ultrix is "RED" which feeds the video switcher. RED is SDI video plus embedded audio Levels 1-8. I want that same source feeding switcher "RED" to also feed Audio Board "RED" which is MADI 1 Audio Outputs 8-16. Currently, I have to manually switch the switcher RED and Audio Board RED as two different destinations which is way too slow. Creating multiple Salvos for each possible configuration is impractical because there are multiple destinations with similar problems (I would have to create 72 Salvos for all possible combinations). Any ideas?

Don't know if you figured this out or not, but the way I have done this is just using multiple different levels. So it sounds like you need 9 levels. 1 for video and the embedded audio(assuming you don't want to breakaway the audio, if you do then obviously you'd need to make levels for that audio) and then 8 levels of audio for the MADI side. Then just associate the MADI audio with the video you want to route. Do this on source and destination side. I'm doing this with an Ultrix and Ferrofish Dante box. Works great.

Thanks dvgjoe, I had not considered blending levels like that. I'll give it a try.
