  • 1.  Make crosspoint with one buton

    Posted 01-09-2014 12:40
    Hello,

We want to use one rcp-nk1 as a panel for the shading.

They want to switch the monitor with one push on a button instead of choose the source and press take.

Can this be done without the take command?

    Greetings Gerrit

    Hi Gerrit,

Yes, the button can be configured as a CROSSPOINT type, rather than SOURCE or DEST.

For details, please see pages 59 and 60 in the NK router manual:

    http://www.rossvideo.com/pdf/manuals/routing-systems/nk_series_user_guide.pdf

or feel free to contact our tech support team if you need assistance.

    Regards,

    -Ralph

Ok, but then i still need to push the take button.

Is it possible to do this without take?

    Greetings

When you have a Take button, then the panel will wait until you press it.

However, if there is no Take button, then the Crosspoint will be sent immediately.

So, remove the Take button from your NK1 configuration, and it should work with a single push.

Is it possible to have the button still light up when configured this way? It's very irritating to lose the backlight and not be able to see which one is selected.

The button will light up whenever the crosspoint is active. After you press the button, it should remain lit, until another switch (for the same destination, but with a different source) occurs.
