Connectivity

Trying to get a 64ch@48K single stream bi directionally out of a Ultrix and send it to two Avid S6L's.

I have a directout SRC that will bi-directionally sample rate convert between 48k & 96k. I also have an RME MADI Router.

In theory I should be able to take my 64ch@48k-upsample to 96k with the SRC then use the RME to split it to both desks at 96k.

I can get it functional to one console but when I try to split the stream both desks have no audio. Clicks & pops and red line every other channel.

I have 4 lines running to each desk. I understand the basic fundamentals of Madi. 64ch @ 48k/32ch@96k per pair of cable.

I'm just stumped.

If you are getting clean audio when directly connected from Ultrix to one console, but clicks and pops when splitting the stream, then I would look at the word clock / reference source for the RME which is splitting the feed, popping usually happens when 2 MADI devices are referencing 2 different non-sync clock sources.
