Hi Brian, thanks for your quick reply we are using a Quadro M4000, and have no notifications whatsoever at launch. Could it be possible that a Monitor needs to be attached to the unit ? We use this machine for testing purpose and we only access it remotely, I don't think we have tried the Virtual Output before so I'm not sure that it even worked before. Thanks.

Is this XPression Designer edition? What type of hardware / gpu are you running this on? Do you get any notifications when starting XPression about failing to initialize the GPU or rendering system?
Check in the Edit->Preferences->Hardware menu and make sure it is showing your Nvidia gpu correctly selected.
