Sorry for the delayed response... I'm still getting used to the community features.
we chose the Matrox cards based on the XPression specifications.
for us, it makes it easy to focus on one card vendor for both product families. it allows us to keep stock, update drivers faster, and get better prices.
that being said - AJA is a perfectly viable solution. we worked with AJA for quite a few years now, and their solution is robust and well behaved ;)

An open discussion for everyone to join. I was wondering what type of input/output boards you all use and why.
Since we ourselves are based in a small country with small budgets for productions, we chose to use AJA-boards purely to decrease the cost of purchase. However, not having used the Matrox boards (ever) I was wondering who of you use the Matrx boards and why. Are any specific advantages of using Matrox boards, e.g. considering delay?
