  • 1.  scenedirector plays with double speed when also displayed in a render view

    Hi!

    We are using xpression version 5.4 - 2645.

    The scenes are displayed via the api.

    When a scene is displayed on one channel in full-screen and on another channel as a renderview on a quad , the speed of the scenedirector is doubled.

    Videoclips with audio (xpression codec) have correct audio speed, but too fast video.

    Displaying the scene and two renderviews of it triples the video speed.

    Is there a setting which I have missed?

    In the release notes of newer versions I can not find a fix for this problem.

    Does anybody know if this problem was fixed?

    I do not want to leave our well tested, stable version for nothing.

    Thank you

    Hi Spectro,

    You haven't missed any setting. That's just the way it is I'm afraid :-)

    For every time a renderview is used, the speed on that scene is multiplied by 2. This is a known "issue" but appearantly it's not possible or it's very hard to fix.

    The solution I use for that, is to play back at half the speed.

    So using the API you can set the playspeed of the Scene Director or an Animation Controller.

    SceneDirector.Speed = 0.5 for half speed

    SceneDirector.Speed = 0.25 for quarter speed

    etc...

    Cheers,

    Kenneth

    Thanks Kenneth!

    I now set the speed in dependence of the displayed instances.

    But a fix for this error would be great.
