  • 1.  Movie won't start after being updated in sequenser

    Hi There,

I've got a scene with a movie and an event starting on the first frame.

The event contains a pause-event, which starts the movie/scene. This all works.

Now I want to publish the movie, so I can update the movie in the sequenser and here I'm getting difficulties. When playing the scene within the sequenser, everything is being launched, but the new movie isn't going to play. It is loaded, but freezes on the first frame.

In the material I've unchecked "autostart" and "free running", because this will ignore the pause-event. And I Added the original movie on the scene director timeline.

How can I make the scene dynamic, so I can Pause the scene, but change the movie?

Did you set the video material to "stopped" instead of "loop" and set the material on the scene director timeline separate from your timeline event?

    Hi Harm.

If you are trying to change the video using the published template data, then you can't simply drag the video onto the scene director; because the one you drag is not the same as the one you select through the sequencer. Instead you need to use Autostart/Freerunning, and a script OnOnline that starts the video paused, then a script event placed on the scene director after the pause which will resume the video.

Search the forum for this topic "Audio loaded with published Quad not pausing" which explains how to do it.

    Great, Thanks. That worked.
