I am new to Xpression Designer and need to import a graphic to use as part of a lower 3rd. The only reference I can find in the manual is in chapter six. Is this handled as a Mesh Object and imported as an obj or 3D file? What file type is required?

    Thanks,

    Hi Craig,

If you are simply trying to import a flat file like a JPG or TGA, then you can open up the Material Manager (CTRL+M), rightclick and choose New->Image and browse for the file. You can also, drag/drop the image from Windows Explorer right into the viewport and it will create the material for you and apply it to a Quad Object.

If you want to import a 3D model then it should be a 3DS or OBJ file, and you click "3D Model" in the Object Library to import it.

Hi Brian, thanks for the reply. Simple flat file for now then we will work our way up. I'm using the Crossover Solo 12 so for our first show is just simple a opening/closing graphic on M2 and lower 3rds on M1.

    Thanks for you help.
