Hi Everyone,

I have a question about auto adjusting text in a given area and I hope there's a simple solution out there for me.

I have text that I want to display over a quad. There's enough room for three lines of text. The text will vary in length so I want the ability to auto-squeeze uniformly if the text tries past the third line. Separately, I've been able to Auto-squeeze equally across a single line, and I've been able to word wrap so it doesn't go over the defined text area, but I haven't been able to combine both options to gain my desired effect.

Any tips or advice?

I'm also looking for the same ability, but still haven't found a solution.. Basically you want auto-squeeze to come in to play after the third line of text and auto-wrap to stop at this third line.

Thanks for following up. To answer your question, I had to work around it. Fortunately for me, the text was coming from a data feed. On the data server side, I had to break up the text block into individual lines, taking in the fact that once the text block exceeded a certain amount of characters divide the words evenly across all the lines. These individual lines were placed in separate cells. In Xpression, each line became a text object that was auto squeezed and linked to the corresponding cells.

Hope it's not too taboo to bring back posts from the dead, but I was wondering if anyone has worked out this much-desired ability either with time or newer versions of Xpression? I'm trying to work out some tweet graphics and would love to be able to balance word wrap with auto squeeze (height & width) to fit text in a limited area. I have only really seen solutions that limit/truncate a set number of lines lines from my searches on the forum, and my ideas with visual logic seem to send things into a loop, making the text twitch around. Any thoughts?
