I'm having an issue where the text I type out in the layout mode is not showing up the same in the sequence mode. For example, In layout I have text that is red with black stroke and hard drop shadow and in the layout mode the text appears white with soft drop shadow.

I'm also having the issue where text I type in the template data (sequence mode) does not match what is output. I type a number "24" and the output is "34".

Carlos there could be a number of reasons for the issues you are seeing.

For the first issue make sure that the template text field does not have materials from the material manager applied to it. If this is the case the text in layout will display those materials while the text you input in the sequence will use the materials associated with the font style.

For your second issue make sure the published fields in the template are not also datalinq fields or using a widget. If this is the case any data you type in via sequence will be overridden.

The second issue was a datalinq field problem. So, I changed that to static text and all is well.

The first issue is still a problem. I'm creating completely new text/font with just a color and no materials applied. Is there a way to check to see if a material is applied to a font... other than clicking on it and seeing if a green box appears around a material? I did this and no material is chosen.

Thanks for your help. For some reason everything works now. I actually applied a material to the text, then removed it. Now everything works... weird.

I would like to remind if it can be possible to have an indicator in text using datalinq or widget in Xpression for not to have this problem.

Sometimes I dont work in a project for weeks, or other person uses the project and that problem appears.
