Hello All... I'm hoping to find a way to take a scene that is datalinq and copy the datalinq data from the field and paste it into the "Static Text" tab in the sequecer for that specific scene. Because of workflow issues it will help me immensely if, from the sequencer, if I have to edit datalinq text I could simply press the "Static" tab and have the datalinq data already in the "Static" tab.

I tried this with VisualBasic. Connecting a [Datalinq Data] directly to my [Text] "Text" field. Maybe there is a step I'm missing. Or is it even possible to accomplish this?

This might help....I've "copied" text and images from one quad to another using Visual Logic to build both left and right versions of an OTS in the same scene. Not at my machine, but try linking the text.face of the DataLinq'd text to text.face of a duplicate static text object. Publish the visibility of both versions and choose the one you want in the sequencer. You might encounter a problem if the DataLinq'd object updates.

I hope it is in your version :) You should probably make sure you are on version 5.7
