I am trying to create a LiveSource material that will take the HD SDI video signal that I am sending to the SDI input of my Xpression Prime machine. When I open the material editor for the LiveSource material, the dropdown menu for video input source displays, "none." There is an AJA XENA board in the machine and the state of the input channel says "active" and the status says "auto detect." I added the LiveSource material to a quad in the Layout View and added the scene to the Sequence view and all I get is black. How do I get the video that I am inputting to show up?

Unfortunately the XPression Prime software does not support live DVE manipulation of a video input, (the live input shader). Prime software is only able to use the video input in internal keying mode (where the input is always full screen and graphics are overlayed over the input).

You'll have to purchase and upgrade to the Studio edition of XPression to use a live input material.
