I'm experiencing audio problems when playing two scenes at once. I was told that it's becuase my scenes have too many clips and that when the performance exceeds 100% the audio will stop to avoid being out of sync. Does anybody have suggestions as to how to make scenes "lighter?" What is the best thing to avoid, clips, masks, 3d elements? Any hints or suggestions on how to make scenes more efficient would be great.

Having pre-rendered clips in the XPression codec have helped us tons with performance issues. Instead of trying to do flying text on top of an alpha tracked video with other elements thrown in, just rendering it to a single file and using that as a material on an object works.

There may be more and better ways of doing it if that's not possible for you, but anytime we've been able to take the render portion of the work off XPression, it works better.

Try to avoid having more than 1 (maybe 2) full screen HD clip per scene.. Don't render the clips larger than necessary, so for a small bug in the corner of the scene, don't render it as 1920x1080 where it is mostly black; crop the video to only the size needed.
