Hi everyone first time on here. We just recently got an xpression for our control and have had a few question maybe everyone on here can answer.

    1. We have dual monitor set-up and are trying to set up a virtual output window on one of the monitors so we can see the output from from our position in the control room. How do we do that?

    2. I am trying to auto-squeeze a text box for a person's title. It seems to work great with width, but some of the names are long and they continue into a third line. Is there a way to make sure that the auto squeezes height as well? I click height and width and still does squeeze height. I want to keep it with the first name on the top line and last name on the bottom line.

I appreciate any help I can get with these questions.

Hey Ryan, In regards to your second problem. If your Auto squeeze in enabled and Height & width then your field should not make a new line it would only get smaller depending on how long that line gets. The only way I was able to get a new line was to hit enter. And if someone hits enter from their respective news plugin then it would create a new line on the CG.

I'm not sure what way you are using your vitual monitor but it you recall a scene that uses the VM then you should be able to move it over to the second screen, but I'm spit balling here since I don't know you setup.

    Hope something helps here

You can setup a virtual output as an up next preview - same as what is shown in the Sequencer Preview window when you focus on a take item (highlight it with the blue bar). Or you can set up a virtual output as an up next preview for a specific channel - which will only show the preview frame of take item for a specific channel.

    To add a virtual output:

    In XPression > Edit > Hardware Setup > Input/Output > Add > Virtual Output

To set the virtual output as a preview:

In XPression > Edit > Hardware Setup > Preview & Monitor > Up Next Preview Output > Set to Virtual Output you want to use

Keep in mind that the up next preview only shows the preview frame of the take item - there is no way to mirror a virtual output to an SDI output.
