  • 1.  How to maintain DVE attributes while recalling

I have lower third graphics stored in the memory registers and when I recall them the attributes (ie size, position, etc.) for my DVE key change. I have the lower thirds on Key3 and DVE (picture in picture) on Key 1. How do I prevent my DVE from changing whenever I recall?

Also, I need to be able to freely resize my DVE throughout the show.

    Hi Jamie,

When you are storing your memories you can set all of the Attributes that you would like for how you would like the memory to recall. The default Attributes would recall all of the key parameters that were there when store -- hence why you have this issue.

The Memory System has "two sides" to the Attributes. On the Store side attributes you are able to set each memory individually so that they behave independent. Using the Recall side attributes you can set a "global" override to what is in the Memories and these attributes would now take over and be the same to every recall -- this can be very useful but not as flexible if you really want tight control of each memory.

So when you are ready to store the memory -- press the Store button and then press the Next button. The menu will now be at the Attributes section. using the first knob will allow you to scroll through the available Attributes and then the other knob will allow you to define the attribute.

In the case you list above I would set all of the Key 1 parameters to NoRCL so that they will be ignored (also make sure that on the Recall side the parameters are still set to Memory) and you won't have anything recalled -- this includes activity as well so if you recall a memory and the key was off it would stay off or if the key was on it would stay on -- regardless of how the memory was stored.
