Hello,

I recently updated my Xpression BlueBox v3.6 software to v5.5 b 2722. My hardware is a AJA Kona 3G board. Everything seems to work just fine except that the Down convert of my 1080i25 signal to PAL 576i doesn't really work anymore. Instead of a colourful image, I get a black and white one.

Could you help me on this one ?

Are you referring to a PAL 576i analog output, or SDI?

Which version of AJA driver are you using?

We would recommend 10.3.5.25. Available here: http://ross.brickftp.com/f/13f3f25a3

You need to uninstall the old drivers "Add/Remove Programs" before trying to install new ones.

Let us know if this doesn't resolve the issue and I'll try to obtain a Kona 3G.

Thank you a lot for your advice. I was referring to the PAL 576i analog outpout. I'm going to try the AJA driver v10.3.5.25 as soon as possible. I'll tell you if it fixes my problem.

I used the AJA driver v10.3.5.25 you sent me and carefully followed your instruction, uninstalling the previous drivers. But I still got this black and white problem on the PAL 576i analog outpout. Do you have a idea ?

Yes, the latest beta build of XPression should resolve this issue.

Contact Tech Support and they can assist you with trying it.

The reason it appear black and white is that the output was a component Y/Cr/Cb signal which you were probably expecting to be a composite, so the Y channel fed into a composite monitor would appear as Black/White.
