I just rendered an animation at 1280x720 and added to a project I converted from 720x540 to 1280x720.

The animation doesn't fit on the screen. I have to resize it smaller and move it slightly for it to fit.

Does anyone know any reasons why this should be?

All the animations I rendered at 720x540 fit on the screen perfectly with no modifications.

You have to provide more details about the pixel aspect ratio and the conversion used. You have to note that 1280x720 is at 1,77 ratio (16:9) and 720x540 is 1,33 ratio (4:3).
