    I'm converting our graphics package from another popular CG system and one thing I'm trying to figure out how best to do is link lower third templates for player bios to a team roster in an excel sheet.

    Our production group provides Excel rosters with up to 100 rows for all the players on a (football) team. Is there an easier way to link a scene to each row in the spreadsheet or do I need 100 scenes, each looking at a different row?

    The Excel data is simple and looks something like this:

    NUM POS NAME

    11 QB JOHN SMITH

    22 RB PETE JONES

    ...

    99 LB TOM JACKSON

    Any thoughts? Ideas? I'im just looking for a way to let our production staff pre-populate all this data in office software like Excel, rather than doing the data-entry into XPression directly.

    Make an export like that with excel in a text file, for me it's the best way...

    GROUP=PLAYERS

    TEMPLATE=Name_of_your_scene_of_reference

    TRANSIN=0,0,4 -> optional

    TRANSOUT=0,0,4 -> optional

    Name_of_your_text_object1=Your text1

    Name_of_your_text_object2=Your Text2

    TEMPLATE=Name_of_your_scene_of_reference

    TRANSIN=0,0,4 -> optional

    TRANSOUT=0,0,4 -> optional

    Name_of_your_text_object1=Your text1

    Name_of_your_text_object2=Your Text2
