Hi,

I'm using Xpression 5.0. When I import video clips (after ecoding with Xpression Video Coder) into Xpression, they playback at twice the speed. So, a 15 sec clip plays back at just over 7 sec. I check the settings in Video Coder and tried different frame rates and they all still playback at 7sec. Can someone shed some light on this?

Were the clips originally created in Final Cut Pro?

Not sure. They came from an outside source. If they were, whats the issue?

Final Cut Pro and Quicktime have bugs that store the incorrect framerate of the clip in the metadata. These clips will not play back correctly in XPression. To avoid this, it's very important to ensure that clips exported from Final Cut Pro are not using one of the presets, but are exported with the settings configured manually.

I don't know if this is the issue, but is problem we encounter semi regularly.

Just realized the video was created at 29.978. I had to re-export out of AE at 59.97 and run through Video Coder at that same rate. Now Xpression is running the video correctly.
