OK so we have around 30 individual media transitions that were originally TGA's that took up apprx 3.2Gb of space. The TGAs were rendered out with a 32bit alpha and RLE compression, and we were only able to load up appx 5-7 media wipes. We figured this was due to the board compressing the files which took up all the RAM. Then we found out that we could save our media wipes as a PNG sequence which took our file size down for all the transitions to around 1.2 Gb. that being said we should be able to load up all of the ones we have yet we can only load a max of 10. Why is this?

Both TGA RLE compressed and PNG are compressed formats.

When loaded into RAM they are converted into uncompressed video. So no matter the format compression of the file the system is not doing compressed file playout it is doing conversion to uncompressed then playing out.

That's what we figured it was but thank you for the fast response.
