  • 1.  Childing Second Quad to Texture Animation

    Hi all,

    I have a quick question for the community. Has anyone out there had any luck childing a second quad to another quad with only an animation on the texture position? Instead of childing to, say, a quad with keyframes on it's X-Position, I was hoping I might be able to child a second quad to an initial quad that only had key frames on it's Texture X-Position and hope that quad would follow that texture animation. I'm not sure it is even possible but was thinking someone might have found a workaround.

    I'm away from the machine right now, but it sounds like something you can achieve to some degree in Visual Logic. You can connect the texture coords from the ParentQuad and connect it directly to the Position.X of your ChildQuad, however you'll probably need to do some serious offsetting as the step size for positioning a texture isn't the same as say a 1280x720 frame (it deals in values between 0 and 1).
