  • 1.  Animation not occuring in output

    Hello

So I am having an issue. I have an animated scene, but when I activate it, it will not animate on the RossLinq output that I have set up. I am trying to animate a scrolling link, using a Ross switcher to go over a news broadcast, and it is just giving me the image, with no animation, and no scrolling. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on why this might be happening. When I activate it in a virtual output, I have no issue

    Thanks,

    Colin

Do you have XPression Designer, XPression Studio, or XPression Prime?

RossLinq can only be used for still graphic. If you want moving video you'll need an XPression with an SDI output that can be fed into the switcher. XPression Designer does not support hardware outputs (Prime or Studio is required).

Yeah, my school only purchased Designer so I guess no luck. So if I make a sequence with animation using Designer, is it just completely stuck in Xpression then, or is there anything else I can do with it?

You can put in in the Sequencer, right click on it and choose "Export Take Item to Images". Set up an export to a TGA sequence, which you could then manually copy over to the switcher (via USB or FTP) to playout from the media stores.
