    Hello,

I was wondering if Xpression supports emojis copied over from Twitter/Social Media.

    Thanks in advance.

    It does not.

You would have to create a custom font with the emotes and edit the text fields with a font macro after they have been added to XPression.

This is a feature that we're being asked a lot lately. We use Ross Inception and Xpression and it'd be great to be able to say "yes, we can display emojis" to our producers since we are doing a lot of social elements during our live shows.

We have actually resorted to using a Mac and a "ScanDo" to pipe the Mac's rendition of the social post as a video input either directly (full screen) or into XPression as a video texture. The problems with doing this in Xpression are far reaching, including that every device renders emojis differently. You could maybe do it more easily by capturing the output of a browser as a texture, but you wouldn't get video.

Why not create a script that find special karakters like ":-)" which turn them into a image? This image could be an emoticon.
