  • 1.  Xpression Designer hardware and Twitter

    Carbonite and Xpression Newbie here.

    I've just bought The basic Xpression Designer with a Carbonite Multimedia mixer and basically wanted to use the Expression for lower thirds supers. Currently I'm just using Rosslink to get the images into the mixers still stores which looks like it will be too slow plus I also now have the need for moderated, semi live Twitter feeds.Sooo.

    QUESTIONS

    1 - Can I get a hardware dual SDI interface (like Blackmagic) to output Key and fill signals for quicker and animated graphics with Xpression Designer? (Presumably I would have to use a full sized PC with an internal card as apposed to laptop as not many laptop PC's runThunderbolt.)

    2 - Is there a way of getting Xpression Designer to search hashtags and generate moderated lower thirds twitters supers that scroll through a list of approved tweets?

    Alex,

    Designer is not able to output in an SDI frame Buffer. You will need to upgrade your version to Studio. For the Twitter feeds you will need Datalinq and possibly a product like our inception social system for doing polls searches and creating approved lists for a data feed into Datalinq and thus into your gfx.
