I would suggest to program a custom control macro for that.
The idea is to assign CG source to, say, Key4, then set Key4 onair, at the same time to trigger the GPI and to do the Cut transition.
I assume you have a GPO setting configured to send a command to XPression that does what you expect, and the GPO is Pulse High with a duration of
3 frames.
1. So, let's start recording a new custom control.
Go to
Home; Custom Controls
Select a
button you want your CC to be assigned to. (if you use banks, then select desired bank). You can do it either with the knob on the touch display or by pressing a button directly on Custom Control Bus row.
Press
Start Recording
2. Press
Sel button for Key4 on Keyers module.
3. Select your
CG source on the Key bus row.
4. Choose
AUTO SELECT on Keyers module.
5. Compensate the actions above by inserting a pause.
Choose on the display
Insert Special; Special; Custom Control; Pause CC
Insert 3 frames.
6. Activate Key4: choose on the display
Insert Special; Special; Transitions; Cut Keys; Insert Cut Key ON (choose Key4)
7. Trigger GPI: choose on the display
Insert Special; Special; Trigger GPI; Select GPO#. Press
Insert.
8. Insert a pause:
Insert Special; Special; Custom Control; Pause CC. Here you adjust how long the switcher wait before it does the transition. This is how long XPression reaction takes. Let's assume it is 10 frames. Do select 10 frames.
9. On Transition module press
BKGD, then press
Cut.
10. On the display choose
Finish Recording.
11. Give a native name to your custom control.
Home; Custom Controls. Select your CC. Press
Modify Name. Name it something like OTS-FSG. Confirm to save.
After you have done all this, you get a button on your CC row that does exactly what is declared at points 2-9 above.
Please notice that you may need less or more or shorter or longer pauses. The recipe is given as just an idea.
If it doesn't work for you, please double the question at Vision Community.
Best regards, good luck!
