Hi,

I've just updated our Xpression studio version from 6.2_3482 to 6.5_3571.

There I found out that when I have a scene with a quad, placed into the sequenser and replaced the original footage of the scene with video,
the video isn't auto start anymore. This was working in our latest version. I've had to make a script to set it to auto play.

Does anybody know why is was changed? Maybe is was done with an reason? Or is it a bug?

I just tried both 6.2-3482 and 6.5 and they both operate the same for me, neither version autostart.

When a quad has been published and you assign a Video File to it via the sequencer, that video will try to use the same properties as the quad from layout; so if you want it to autostart, you need to assign a video to it in layout mode and set that video to autostart. Then when you replace it from sequencer, any video assigned to that quad from sequencer will autostart as well.

If you can test 6.2 again and you do see different behavior, please attach a sample project and I can investigate the issue further. Note that all 6.5 builds are still beta builds and have not had any formal testing. 6.2-3526 is the latest officially tested software.

I've looked into the issue you reported; and it is a bug and it will be fixed in the next build of 6.5. It looks like it also affected later versions of 6.2 as well.

The temporary solution is to simply assign any video material to the quad that has the autostart property enabled. When the video is replaced via sequencer the new video will also autostart.

Great, and for my problem, I've already made a script, which automaticy make a material of the file and sets its behavior to autoplay.
