    Hello Everyone -

I am running into an issue with the designer software. The new graphics package we are putting together is quite large and has about 1,200 different materials. Ideally instead of moving all of the files to my workstation, Id like to create an emulated drive that would have all the assets needed.

BUT.... It seems Designer has no mapped network drive support.

Created a mapped folder to the materials - didnt work

Created an emulated Drive letter using POWERISO - didnt work

Created an emulated Drive letter using SUBST command in CMD - didnt work.

I recreated the folder structure on an external drive, re-lettered the drive, and it worked,

Also... Designer does not recognize an emulated folder created using the SUBST command.

Is this just because its designer? Or am I missing something here?

External Drives/Mapped Network Drives/SUBST Created Folders all work on Xpression Studio.

Is the Designer software running on a Ross Video turnkey XPression workstation?

I'm having the same issue in xpression developer 5.7 running on my win 8.1 laptop - xpression doesn't recognize any network drives at all - can only access local drives.

works fine on my win 7 desktop

Because of the many different things that could cause this I would recommend contacting techsupport@rossvideo.com so that one of our techs can remote into your machine and investigate.
