I am New to Xpression and Ive been on 2 football production so far. I got assigned to some hockey matches and when I tried to link my Excel document to Datalinq it didnt want to work (there has never been a problem With it until now).
"‹So.. I`m in Xpression Datalinq, I press "Add New" and choose option number 8 which is "Excel Datalinq Source". When I find my chosen file Datalinq says "Interface Not Supported". The Excel has been saved as both .xlsx and .xls. nothing works. I even tried adding the Excel document from our Football period but the same error comes up. My friend tried to add a file through ADODB Datalinq Source and the same thing happened.

    "‹Datalinq is in v.6.1

"‹In our School we have two different computers. One we design everything on in School, and the one we use in our bus during Production. The stationary works fine and there`s no error there, but the other one wont work no matter what.

    "‹`Any suggestions?

Excel is installed on the same computer as the Datalinq Server is on right?

Oh shoot, this happens with ADODB too, I missed that.

So this is happening on the playout machine? It's probably running XPression Studio or Prime?

On 64-bit Windows and 64-bit Office (2010, 2013) environments, there are many reports on this error. The fix or workaround is a bit strange but seems to work for most people out there. The "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable" installation package seems the natural one to use but several reports says it does not work.
Instead, using the "2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components" seems to solve the above problem for most people.
